"The Persevering Science Major ng Bagong Sirang"

ABOUT ME

As a student teacher specializing in science. I have always been curious about how the world works, and that passion led me to study this exciting subject. As a student teacher, I am eager to share my love for science with my students. I believe that exploring topics like biology, chemistry, and physics can be fun and engaging. I enjoy using hands-on activities and experiments to help my students understand complex ideas. My goal is to create a classroom where students feel comfortable asking questions and discovering new things. I am excited about the journey ahead and look forward to inspiring my students to love science as much as I do.

TEACHING STYLES

As a student teacher in science, my teaching style is focused on making learning engaging and hands-on. I believe that science is best understood when students can explore concepts through experiments and real-life examples. In my classroom, I encourage questions and discussions, creating an open environment where students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts. I often use group activities to promote collaboration, allowing students to learn from each other while having fun. My goal is to make science enjoyable and accessible, showing students that it is not just about memorizing facts but understanding the world around them.

TEACHING EXPERIENCES

During my time as a student teacher in science at Altamarino-Clasio High School, I had an amazing experience filled with learning and growth. On my first day, I walked into a classroom full of curious faces, and that time I felt nervous because I didn’t know how to handle the class. There were challenges, of course, like when a lesson didn’t go as planned or when a student seemed disinterested, and sometimes, I couldn’t manage the class during discussion, but those moments taught me to be patient and flexible through the help of my cooperating teacher.  So, by the end of my time at Altamarino-Clasio, I felt proud of the bonds I had formed with the students and the knowledge I had shared. This experience helped me grow as a teacher and inspired me to continue my journey in education.

About Us

We are a group of ten student-teacher interns from the College of Development Education - Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CDE-CBSUA). We call our group, Team Isarog, as a symbol of the community we were assigned to; and as a symbol of the tenacity of a mountain that we showcased during our internship journey. For 2 months, from February 5 to April 4, we had the opportunity to complete our internship journey at Altamarino-Clasio High School (ACHS) in Curry, Pili, Camarines Sur.

Through our teaching internship, we had many learning experiences as we engaged in meaningful classroom experiences, crafting lesson plans, delivery of instruction, and making connections with the entire ACHS community, from our peers to the students, cooperating teachers, the school head, and the school's faculty and staff. This e-portfolio highlights our journey as student teachers - showcasing our achievements, outputs, our school, our reflections, and our growth as we prepare to become educators with confidence, competence, commitment, and compassion.
